Elizabeth Gregory director of the Women's Studies Program and professor of English at the University of Houston, writes about the changing dynamics of motherhood and women's work. Her book Ready: Why Women Are Embracing the New Later Motherhood was a ground-breaking study of the range of effects of birth control and education on women's business and family roles in the US to date.
